Please stick to Dala clear paper glue & Renu contact lens solution brands, if you want to purchase another brand then please test it out first. Slime is fickle and can flop if you use a different type of glue.

You will need:
A mixing bowl
1 cup (125ml) Dala clear paper glue
Contact Lens Solution (activator)
Plastic or glass container or plastic bag to take your slime home in
Acrylic paint (neon works really well) as a colouring solution. You can also use ink or food colouring (just be careful to not add too much as your slime will become watery, perhaps use a straw and carefully add drop for drop)
Small glitter, larger round glitter
Some parents may ask for sequins, small foam balls, star shaped glitter, small beads etc. You are welcome to try it, but it does not work that well as it falls out when you start stretching your slime and sharp objects hurts your hands. Our kids picked it out and threw it away.
Pour 1 cup (125ml) Dala clear paper glue into a mixing bowl.
Walk around the table and add 1 tablespoon of baking soda into each mixing bowl. You can put it into a small bag as well so that they can decant it themselves. Do not let the children measure it out themselves as the slime may flop if they get it wrong.
Add 3 - 4 tablespoons of contact lens solution. Walk around with the solution and let the children hold up their spoon and hand it out.
Add solution to the children’s hands (let them hold their hands in a bowl) and start playing with the slime.
Add more solution to their hands until the slime is a nice consistency. If your slime is “wet” then add more solution, walk around and squirt more solution into the children’s hands if needed.
Now to add colour and create a nice design. Acrylic paint works best. Please keep a close eye on the children because they may add too much colour and then their slime will become watery. Mix the slime really well and then add more contact lens solution if it is a bit watery.
Take a photo of the child and their design before you mush it all together
Now create another design. Add glitter etc.
